Doval, 29, is tossing a 4.59 ERA through 44 games this season. The Dominican righty has given up 38 hits and 19 walks with 39 strikeouts through 39.2 innings.
It's worth noting that Doval has been stellar away from Yankee Stadium, as he has a 1.86 ERA in 24 away games.
Luis Cruz and Omar Alfonzo will be the two prospects heading to the Yankees' farm system.
Cruz is an 18-year-old Dominican outfielder currently slashing .313/.460/.396 with seven RBI and seven stolen bases through 17 games in the Foreign Rookie League.
Meanwhile, Alfonzo, 22, who's been with the Pirates since he was 17 and was their No. 17 prospect, is currently making his way up through the minors. After just one game in rookie ball and one game in Single-A, the American catcher is slashing .239/.338/.420 with nine home runs and 35 RBI through 60 Double-A games this season.
