Former world no. 1, Caroline Wozniacki says in the podcast "Nothing Major" that she does not think that she will return to professional tennis.

The former Australian Open winner was in action last time at the US Open in September 2024, where she lost in the round of 16 to Beatriz Haddad Maia.

Wozniacki subsequently became pregnant and gave birth to her third child in July this year. Together with her husband, the former NBA player David Lee, she now has three children, Olivia, James, and Max.

Although the 35-year-old Dane gives a clear answer to the question of whether she has another comeback in mind, she still keeps the door slightly open.

When asked if she will make a potential comeback, she says, "No, I think it's a no."

WTA's protected rankings allow players who are injured or on maternity leave to freeze their rankings for a period of time.

When Wozniacki crashed out of the US Open last year, she was ranked 70th in the world, and should she wish to return to the WTA Tour, she will be able to enter tournaments which that position allows.

"If it were up to David, he says that I have my frozen ranking and that I can play the big tournaments."

"I have a long time to decide. If I feel that I can get back in shape, I will never say never. But I have three small children at the moment, and it is already a full-time job", says Caroline Wozniacki.

Wozniacki initially stopped her glorious career in 2020, but made a comeback three years later with promising results despite not winning any more tournaments.
