04:50 - CET - Jakub Mensik upsets Novak Djokovic in straight sets 7-6(4), 7-6(4) to win his first ever Masters 1000 title! The 19-year-old's thrilling first ever ATP tour title can only be described by him as, "To be honest I don't know what to say. It's one of the best days of my life."
Mensik's pure strength and youth proved to be too much for the veteran 37-year-old after the two went in a constant back and forth the entire second set.
Mensik was later embraced by his family following the emotional victory.

It has been a brilliant week for both players, as Djokovic has got back to somewhere close to his best after a difficult start to 2025, while Mensik has made a name for himself. All the talk lately has been about the talented Joao Fonseca, but Mensik is also the real deal and, at this moment, looks the more complete player.
As for Djokovic, this is a great chance against a player still developing his game to win his 100th title and first with new coach Sir Andy Murray.
