South Korean central defender Lee Han-Beom officially transferred from FC Midtjylland to Belgian Pro League champions Club Brugge at the beginning of August, signing a three-year contract through 2029 while wearing the number 3 shirt.
And the South Korean defender hasn't wasted any time settling in his new Belgian home after leaving FC Midtjylland. After his stint at Midtjylland, Lee is visibly enjoying his new life in Bruges.
The defender’s quick adaptation is evident from the way he has been exploring the city. His interest in fashion, in particular, comes in handy here. "I’ve already been shopping at Zara; I’m really into clothes," says Lee to Belgian media outlet Voetbal Primeur. He has also been exploring the local culinary scene; mussels and lobster have already been on the menu, and he has tried waffles as well. "I really liked them."
The move from Denmark represents a significant change for Lee off the pitch, too. He felt that the options for spending his free time were far more limited at Midtjylland. "When I was in Denmark, there was really nothing to do where I lived." Naturally, he was quick to share his initial experiences in Bruges with friends and family back home.
The reactions were positive. "I sent videos of Bruges to my friends and family, and they’re really happy I came here," says Lee.
