In the previous round AGF had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home against Viborg and therefore there was plenty of pressure on Uwe Rösler's men to get back to winning ways when they faced Vejle on away ground in order to keep pace with FC Midtjylland and FC Copenhagen who are now nine and five points ahead of AGF respectively going into the Championship Playoffs.
But AGF very suprisingly lost the game to the bottom-team of the Superliga 3-2 and after the game captain Patrick Mortensen were met by angry fans as the players thanked the fans for their support after the game.

"What happened is that football is emotions, and we have a lot of passionate fans who love this club and really want more. I just had a chat with them about that, and I completely agree - we also want more.".
"It is also important to remember that this is the first defeat in a very long time, so we also need their support, which we also get every weekend and appreciate enormously. I'' keep the words exchanged between us to myself but it was a quiet conversation of love", said Patrick Mortensen in the mixed zone after the game according to Bold.dk
AGF now have a Nations League break to recover their composure before the Championship Play-offs begin.
