The 23-year-old has arguably been Liverpool’s best player so far this season as their bid to retain the Premier League title took a hit in recent weeks.
Gravenberch was called up by Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman for their World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Finland this month.
He was substituted at half-time in the 4-0 win over Finland, however, with Koeman later revealing it was a precaution rather than an outright injury issue.
According to The Athletic, the midfielder will now be assessed by Liverpool’s medical team with the very real possibility he could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
