The 1-0 loss was a disappointing end to their first home game in European competition proper, and the Eagles will be rueing the amount of chances that went begging.
Mateta still the man for Palace
Jean-Philippe Mateta, guilty of missing a stoppage-time sitter against Bournemouth last time out, which would've earned the South Londoners a 4-3 win, hit the bar against Larnaca as well as missing several other chances.
The French striker was actually on target the last time Palace travelled to Arsenal, as was Eberechi Eze, now a Gunner of course.
On that occasion, in 2024/25, the visitors battled to a 2-2 draw with Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard scoring for the hosts.
Hosts who have certainly had the upper hand in this fixture of late, remaining unbeaten in the last six meetings.
In five of those six games, Arsenal have scored at least twice, and on two occasions they've put five goals past Oliver Glasner's side.
Form favours Arsenal
Current form would dictate that Mikel Arteta's squad are heavy favourites to continue that run too.
Since losing 1-0 to Liverpool, Arsenal have won four and drawn one, and haven't conceded any more than a single goal in any of those matches.
Sitting proudly atop the Premier League, another victory would keep them at least three points ahead of nearest chasers, Manchester City.

Palace, meanwhile, are down in eighth position and though the table doesn't lie, they are only three points from City in second at this point.
They too, have only lost one game in the last six, away at Everton, and have continued their good form from the back end of last season.
At the Emirates in 2025/26, Arsenal have won three games and drawn one, whilst away from Selhurst Park, Palace have two wins, one draw and that loss against the Toffees.
Palace on top with shots on target
Having the two extra days to recover may well be in the Gunners' favour too, though the Eagles not having to travel to far-flung corners of the continent on Thursday night would be of clear benefit.
Glasner will hope his side continues to top the charts in terms of shots on target this season. To this point, their 43 on target is the most of every side in the division, whilst the North Londoners have the most total shots in the top-flight (123) and the least goals conceded (three).

What might surprise many is that Arteta's side are only the fifth best in the Premier League in terms of total passes (3931), given how heavily Arsenal rely on being able to pass their opponents off the park before landing a killer blow.
There are no surprises, however, when it comes to which players are the most important for either team.
Arteta reliant on Gyokeres
Viktor Gyokeres leads the scoring charts for the Gunners with three goals and the Swedish international has also had the most total shots (18, joint top with Eze) and the most shots on target (seven).
Palace's reliance on Mateta is even more obvious with the centre-forward having the most goals (five), most total shots (28) and most on target (16).
Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Adam Wharton have all created 13 chances apiece, and the trio can be expected to have a big say in how this match ends up too.
Indeed, Wharton's abililty to break up play in midfield is going to be key for getting Palace up the pitch and into those dangerous areas where they can cause Arsenal problems.
An expected attacking onslaught from the hosts will also require the excellence of Marc Guehi and his colleagues to repel any threats. If the England international is lucky, he may even get to extend his record of passes, which currently stands at 424 this season.
Late goals will almost certainly decide the game
Both teams appear to be slow starters out of the blocks in 25/26, so a lack of goals in the opening half hour would be following the pattern already set.
It's the 15 minutes before the break and 15 minutes after when Arsenal are potent, scoring on four occasions in both portions of the game.
The final 15 minutes of each half is where Palace come on strong themselves (three goals), though it's also worth noting between the 75th and 90th minute is where the Eagles have conceded the most goals (four) and the Gunners have scored the most (five).

An exciting game is therefore surely in prospect and with Arsenal going on to win every game in which they've scored first, Glasner has to ensure that his side take the game to their hosts from the first whistle to give them the best possible opportunity of causing an upset.
Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus, Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz remain on the sidelines for the North Londoners, with Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure out for the visitors.
