Canadiens 4-3 Wild
The Habs took a 3-2 lead in the second period thanks to a goal from Lane Hutson (9) to break the tie.
Minnesota's Vladimir Tarasenko (13) tied it back up again with under seven minutes left to go in the third. That's when Caufield came to the rescue with 15 seconds left to give the Habs a win.
Montreal improved to 28-15-7, while Minnesota fell to 28-14-9.
Sabres 5-3 Predators
After racking up his first two career assists on the first two goals of the game from Noah Ostlund (9), Sabres rookie Konsta Helenius put home his first career goal to give his team a 3-0 lead in the first period.
Tage Thompson (26) put the Sabres out to a commanding 4-0 lead. Nashville would try to rally with two goals from Ryan O'Reilly (18) and one from Filip Forsberg (19), but couldn't complete the comeback after Peyton Krebs (5), who assisted on Helenius' goal, sent home an empty-netter.
Buffalo improved to 27-17-5. Nashville fell to 23-22-4.
Senators 4-1 Blue Jackets
Tyler Kleven scored his first goal of the season for Ottawa, while Tim Stutzle and Ridly Greig both had one goal and one assist.
The Senators handed the Blue Jackets their first loss since Rick Bowness became Columbus' new head coach, now 4-1 under him.
Ottawa improved to 23-19-7. Columbus fell to 22-20-7.
Lightning 4-1 Sharks
Brandon Hagel (two goals, one assist) and Nikita Kucherov (three assists) both had three points for the Lightning as the team extended their point streak to 14 games.
Tyler Toffoli (14) put the Sharks up first, but the Lightning responded with four straight goals as they are now 13-0-1 in their last 14 games.
Tampa improved their season record to 31-13-4. San Jose fell to 25-21-3.
Jets 3-1 Blues
The Jets found themselves back in the win column thanks to a pair of goals from Mark Scheifele (25) and an assist on teammate Josh Morrissey's (10) goal as well.
Winnipeg improved to 20-23-6. St. Louis fell to 19-23-8.
Stars 6-2 Bruins
Two goals from Jason Robertson (29) and three points from Justin Hryckowian (one goal, two assists) helped lift the Stars over the Bruins, effectively ending their six-game winning streak.
Boston was outshot 37-18 as they fell to 28-20-2. Dallas improved to 28-13-9.
