The NFL rivalries uniforms were revealed for eight teams on Thursday - a week away from the start of the new season.

Teams included in the new uniform rollout are the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, and Buffalo Bills.

So we rated them from best to worst! And starting off at the top is...

Best - Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals undoubtedly brought the best Rivalries uniform. However, it's not saying much when you look at the rest. They definitely tried something different to reflect the surrounding desert climate instead of going for straight minimalism like others on this list did.

Bringing back the Arizona flag on the shoulders is a clean look. The pants stripes are consistent with the numbers and sleeves. The red and orange match well with the tan jersey and pants. It's a very solid look all around - even if all-tan can be a bit too much. But minimizing the "Arizona" on the front, going away from their usual big, bold letters, was a great decision.

However, they missed a big chance to have a tribal pattern around the sleeves and collar, which would've given it a perfect rating. The helmet is solid and the best from the group - that's not saying much. But thank you to the Cardinals for not falling into the shiny numbers trap like others on this list did.

Finally, a solid alternate uniform.

Final rating - 8.5/10

San Francisco 49ers

Frankly, I don't think any of these other uniforms look great for a countless number of reasons. But the 49ers going with their best "western" font for the numbers saved these uniforms.

While I'm against the 49ers having black uniforms - because some teams have no business having one - they still managed to do a semi-okay-ish job at making sure their red and gold pop.

They made the correct choice with the gold facemask; however, only having red stripes on the shoulders, helmet, and down the pants with no gold stripe in between them ruins the consistency of the numbers and facemask. And, once again, the full red socks with no stripes either.

It's not the best 49ers look, but it's a much better improvement over their all-black uniforms from 2015-2017.

Final rating - 6.5/10

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle was so close to hitting a home run with these uniforms - until they decided on the god awful gradient/iridescent helmet.

The wing pattern on the shoulders is a great touch, and the way the uniform remains consistent all around with the colors is wonderful in the little details.

However, the shiny numbers and helmet derail this look for me. If you like that style, then you probably love these. But the resemblance to Oregon's uniforms is too great. Unlike Arizona's where I can say that it feels like an original look, this one is a "I've seen this before" and didn't bring anything new to the table.

But it's far from their worst look.

Final rating - 6.5/10

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills did nothing inspiring with this, but it's not the worst of the group by any stretch of the imagination. It's a white out uniform. That's all it is - another ice design. A lot of teams have great-looking all-white white uniforms already, so the ice design never hits for me.

The ice details on the pants leg and shoulder, with the crystalized Bills logo, are a nice touch. But watching them from the stands or even on the TV, we're not noticing it. Points for trying to do better than previous ice uniforms, but the theme is starting to run its course.

When you already have an all-white uniform that looks infinitely better than this - why even bother? They'll be wearing these in their October 5th matchup against the Patriots.

Final rating - 5.5/10

MIami Dolphins

Miami had the best chance here to give us the return of the dark blue uniforms. They can say the jersey is "dark water blue" all they want, but it's a desaturated black.

Again, like the 49ers, the Dolphins are a team that has zero business going with an all-black uniform. They have arguably one of the best color palettes in the league and they failed to utilize it. This is nothing more than just playing along with the trend because you want to be included. Nothing says beating the heat in a smeltering Miami climate like an all-black uniform.

The saving grace for the Dolphins is that they didn't overdo it. The Miami chest plate remained small. The stripes match up. No jumbo collar. And, unlike others on this list, they didn't forget to actually use all of their main colors.

Final rating - 4.5/10

New England Patriots

The team that has the makings for creating a stellar wardrobe just continues to fumble. The "NE" on the sleeves has got to be one of the absolute worst in all of sports. They missed an opportunity to use the Patriots' logo on the shoulders. And the dotted numbers are just awful.

However, the only thing the Patriots did that I appreciate over others on this list is going with a white-colored-white uniform layout, which saves it in some ways because it's extremely difficult to screw that specific color layout up.

But the grey-blue is uninspiring with missing red outlines. No red facemask. Minimalistic with its colors, yet again, like others on this list. There's just nothing great about it. They took their regular uniforms and swapped them for a less appealing color palette and the worst sleeve logo that looks like an alternate high school logo.

"A winter storm is coming." That schtick is getting played out way too much at this point.

Final rating - 4/10

The worst - Los Angeles Rams, New York Jets

The Rams and the Jets need to hire new designers because these are god awful.

Los Angeles continue to be my biggest facepalm with uniform reveals because the design potential is an A+, yet the execution is almost always a D+ at best.

Whose idea was it to make the jersey midnight blue, which is a shade away from being black, and the sleeve highlighter blue? Why? Just...why? The dotted numbers are a look that I need design teams to throw away forever. The pattern on the collar is different from the random dots on the sleeves. It just ruined what could've actually been a solid uniform.

The helmet should've been dark blue, as well as the jersey - not this ridiculous step away from black like the Dolphins try to pass on. The horn on the shoulders are great, but everything else is a miss. Throw it in the trash. I hope these uniforms stay in 2025 and never see a game in the future.

Final rating - 1/10

As for the Jets, it's almost like it has no idea what it wants to be. The small collar pattern is different from the sleeves, which are different from the shoulders. And the jersey looks like a worn-out, dark olive green in some lights and just a sanded black in other shots.

The helmet stripe looks like a piece of tape where you can't even see the pattern at all. No green outlines. The minimalistic logo patch on the jersey looks awful.

There's absolutely nothing appealing about this uniform from head to toe except the black helmet - which, again, is faulted by the awful stripe.

Final rating - 1/10

Final thoughts

Shoutout to Arizona for daring to be different and nailing a look that stands out. Some minor changes could've made it perfect, but it's an alternate uniform that needs to stick around for a long time. A major win for them.

As for the others, I wouldn't lose any sleep if they never wore them again after this season.
