The Milwaukee Brewers won their 13th straight game after defeating the Cincinnati Reds on Friday.

After being down 8-1 in the second inning, Milwaukee scored nine straight unanswered runs to win 10-8.

It now ties their franchise record win streak that was set by the team in 1987.

In his first start back from injury, rookie starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski only lasted 1.1 innings, giving up five earned runs on four hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

Veteran D.L. Hall was called to the mound in the second inning, eventually giving up three runs on five hits.

However, five straight bullpen arms threw a shutout the rest of the way for the Brewers, with Nick Mears earning his third win and Trevor Megill his 29th save.

Christian Yelich, who went 4-5 in the game, hit two home runs and brought in five runs, bringing his season totals up to 25 homers and 86 RBI.

His second homer of the night gave the Brewers a 9-8 lead in the sixth inning.

Meanwhile, Andrew Vaughn continued to stay hot, hitting his ninth home run since being traded to the Brewers.

Vaughn has been hitting an astounding .343 average with a ridiculous 1.051 OPS since joining Milwaukee.

The Brewers' 10 runs marked 12 games of the past 16 with at least seven runs or more, having outscored their opponents 113-47 during the win streak.

Milwaukee is 38-9 in their last 47 games, now possessing a league-best 77-44 record with a +161 run differential - leading the Chicago Cubs (+116) as the only two teams in baseball with a run differential over 100.

And as always, it started with the pocket pancakes.

The Brew Crew has yet to lose a single game in August.
