Heindahl was last selected for the national team in the spring, whereas Laura Borg was originally selected only as a training player for the first part of next week's camp.
"We already know Laura, and she has shown how she can contribute both defensively and offensively."
"Now we get the chance to see her in matches as well, and at the same time, we are bringing in two players who know each other very well from their daily routine in Ikast," says Helle Thomsen in a press release.
The Danish national team coach says that she did not want to risk including Haugsted in the squad as she has sustained an injury and still hasn't returned to full fitness.
"We are currently in a situation where Line Haugsted has an injured finger—an injury sustained while playing for Team Esbjerg—and she hasn't played yet; we aren't certain the finger will heal in time. So, we have decided not to include her", says Thomsen to TV2 Sport.
The Danish women's handball team gathers on Monday for a training camp ahead of the EHF Euro Cup semi-final away against Romania on 26 September.
