Sunday, December 21st
20:00 CET - Five-star Fiorentina have won their first game of the season and in style after scoring twice more in the second period to win 5-1 against Udinese!
Moise Kean ended his barren goal drought in Serie A with a second-half brace to add gloss to a vital win and an early Christmas present to their supporters.
19:30 CET - That Morgan Rogers strike in the second half would be the difference as Aston Villa keep themselves very much in the Premier League title race heading into Christmas after a crucial 2-1 win against Manchester United.
19:27 CET - Two more goals in the second period by Luis Diaz and Harry Kane made a dominant win look even more convincing for Bayern Munich in Heidenheim.
That sees Bayern Munich end the year unbeaten in the Bundesliga and well on course to retain their title.

19:05 CET - Team news is in for the first game at AFCON 2025 as hosts Morocco take on Comoros from 20:00 CET.
The big team news is that Achraf Hakimi isn't fit enough to start for the hosts after a lot of pre-tournament concerns over the injury that has seen him out since November.

Follow the clash LIVE with Flashscore.
19:54 CET - The brilliant Morgan Rogers has done it again for Aston Villa! It is poor defending from United again as they give the England international way too much space, but my word does he make the most of it with an unstoppable curling finish.
18:53 CET - Fiorentina are three goals ahead against Udinese at the break, thanks to first-half goals by Rolando Mandragora, forward Albert Gudmundsson and a third late in the half through Cher Ndour. They were helped early on when Udinese got a red card after a rash decision by their goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.

This could turn into a turning point for the club's season as they search for their first win in Serie A.
Follow the second period here.
18:32 CET - Over to the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich have been every bit of the unbeaten league leaders that they are in the first half.
With almost 80% possession and a 2-0 lead, this is as dominant a performance as they come, and it feels like an impossible task for the hosts, Heidenheim, to get themselves back into it.

18:25 CET - After a first half of many chances at Villa Park, two goals late in the half brought the game to life. Firstly, the hosts took the lead through Morgan Rogers after the creative midfielder was allowed space to cut inside and brilliantly curl an effort into the top right-hand corner.
Sloppy passing out from the back from Villa however, handed United a golden chance to instantly level the game and Matheus Cunha did just that with an unstoppable strike inside the box.

18:15 CET - That is an impressive win by Barcelona as they defeat title rivals Villarreal 2-0 away from home after Lamine Yamal added a second goal in the second half to secure a big three points.
Check out the match stats here.

17:55 CET - Bayern Munich have taken the lead in the Bundesliga through Josip Stanisic as they look to end 2025 on a high.
They have now doubled their early advantage through Michael Olise. Bayern are flying now...
17:35 CET - Next in Serie A sees Fiorentina host Udinese from 18:00 CET as they search for their first win of a miserable Serie A season.

Three points this afternoon would be a welcome Christmas present; otherwise, it won't be a very merry Christmas in Florence.
17:27 CET - It is all over in the Bundesliga, and it finishes goalless between Mainz and St. Pauli as Mainz continue to fail to replicate their form from last season.

17:07 CET - Raphinha's penalty in the 12th minute remains the difference between the sides at the break as Barcelona lead away to Villarreal in a crucial clash at the top of LaLiga.
An added blow for the hosts arrived just before the break when centre-back Renato Veiga was given his marching orders. 45 minutes with 10 men and a goal down is far from ideal for Villarreal, who have it all to do now to rescue a positive result.
Follow the second period here.

16:55 CET - It's back-to-back wins for Torino in Serie A as they have defeated Sassuolo 1-0 away from home to lift themselves up to 12th in the standings.
Nikola Vlasic got the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.

16:40 CET - Germany's best club is in action this evening from 17:30 CET, as Bayern Munich travel to Heidenheim. They may be the visitors but the league leaders are overwhelming favourites for the clash, with Opta giving them a 77% chance of securing all three points today.
See if they can live up to the billing here.

16:31 CET - First blood to the league leaders! In the crucial clash between Villarreal and Barcelona, it is the Catalan side who make the early inroads.
Raphinha, ever-reliable, gives his side the lead from the spot to silence La Ceramica.
16:30 CET - Back to Serie A, where Torino have the lead at Sassuolo.
It is Nikola Vlasic with the first goal of the contest, netting from the spot in the 66th minute.
16:26 CET - Over to Birmingham, where Aston Villa meet with Manchester United in the only Premier League fixture of the day.
The Midlands club have been in fine form in recent weeks, winning their last five games in the league, whilst Manchester United provided one of the games of the season last time out - a 4-4 draw with Bournemouth.

16:20 CET - We have reached the interval in the Bundesliga, where relegation-threatened Mainz and St Pauli have played out a 0-0 draw in the opening 45 minutes.
Just one shot on target in the first half from either side, let's hope for more in the second.

15:55 CET - It's been a breezy Sunday stroll for Atletico Madrid against Girona, with the side from the capital coming away with a 3-0 victory with goals from Koke, Conor Gallagher and a late strike from Antoine Griezmann securing the three points.

15:50 CET - Back to Serie A, where Sassuolo and Torino head into the break goalless. The side from Turin did have a penalty claim, only to see VAR overturn the on-field decision.
Follow the second half with Flashscore.

15:18 CET - Perhaps the biggest game of the weekend sees two title chasers face off at La Ceramica in LaLiga.
Villarreal have been the surprise packages of the season, last dropping points in the league back in mid-October. They face Barcelona from 16:15 CET, with the Catalans sitting atop the table.
It could be quite the contest today, we will bring you all the latest right here.

14:49 CET - Back to Catalonia, where it's turning into a miserable afternoon for Girona. They are 2-0 down to Atletico Madrid at home after goals from Koke and Conor Gallagher at half-time.

14:38 CET - Atletico Madrid are in full control against Girona as Conor Gallagher doubles their lead 10 minutes after coming off the bench for an injured Nicolas Gonzalez.
14:35 CET - Just two Bundesliga games today, with the first pitting Mainz against St Pauli in what could be a relegation six-pointer.
The hosts, Mainz, are at the bottom of the standings with just seven points from 14 games. It's not much better for their opponents today. St Pauli have 11 points so far in the campaign, but they picked up a vital win last time out against Heidenheim.
Can they pull off back-to-back wins from 15:30 CET? Find out right here.

14:26 CET - Pisa have claimed a hard-fought point at Cagliari after Stefano Moreo's 89th-minute strike cancelled out second-half goals from Michael Folorunsho and Semih Kilicsoy for the hosts.
Read the full match report here.

14:17 CET - An early breakthrough for Atletico Madrid in Girona, with Koke picking out the top corner from range for his second goal of the season.
14:01 CET - Staying in the Italian top flight, eighth-placed Sassuolo host Torino this afternoon, as the Neroverdi look to continue their impressive recent form of just one defeat in five matches.
Keep track of that clash from 15:00 CET here.

13:18 CET - Half-time in Serie A between Cagliari and Pisa, and it's the visitors who lead 1-0 thanks to Matteo Tramoni's penalty on the stroke of the interval.

Saturday, December 20th
22:59 CET - We are all done for tonight across Europe, and it has been a productive evening for Real Madrid, who have efficiently seen off the threat of Sevilla with a 2-0 victory - Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe both getting on the scoresheet.
In the Premier League, as a rate matchday with two 21:00 CET games taking place comes to a close, it's a good night for Arsenal, who take back top spot in the standings from Manchester City with a 1-0 win over Everton.
Elsewhere, Leeds United have helped their chances of survival with an impressive 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace - Dominic Calvert-Lewin netting a brace for the Lilywhites.
22:49 CET - Give the ball to Kylian Mbappe from 12 yards, and you know the rest... Real Madrid now lead Sevilla 2-0 with time running out as the Frenchman nets from the spot.
22:35 CET - Roma made it interesting through a late goal from Tommaso Baldanzi but Juventus have held on to claim a big three points and move up to fifth, within a point of their opponents, who have now lost three of their last four.
22:22 CET - As was to be expected, PSG are cruising against their fifth-tier opponents, now 4-0 up thanks to a penalty from Ousmane Dembele and a brace from Goncalo Ramos.
22:16 CET - A huge win is in sight for Juventus, with Luis Openda tapping in from close range to double their lead.
21:52 CET - Arsenal lead 1-0 at the break and are poised to return to the top of the Premier League, while Leeds are somewhat surprisingly 2-0 up against Crystal Palace thanks to a brace from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
In Spain, Real Madrid are 45 minutes away from giving Xabi Alonso a much-needed win and moving to within a point of Barcelona at the top of LaLiga, albeit having played a game more.

21:41 CET - Jude Bellingham has given Real Madrid the lead by heading in a cross from Rodrygo.
21:36 CET - We've reached the halfway point in Turin, where the hosts lead despite the fact that Roma have seen more of the ball and had more efforts.

21:29 CET - After slow starts, the floodgates have opened across Europe, with Arsenal, PSG and Juventus taking leads through Viktor Gyokeres, Desire Doue and Francisco Conceicao.
21:08 CET - Real Madrid are underway against Sevilla, with Los Blancos knowing a win would see them gain ground on at least one of their title rivals this weekend, with Barcelona and Villarreal facing one another.
20:45 CET - We're approaching the end of the day, but there are still plenty of entertainment to come, with Juventus and Roma underway and Everton vs Arsenal kicking off in 15 minutes along with a cup clash between PSG and Fontenay.
20:38 CET - Over in Germany, Bayer Leverkusen have headed into the winter break on a high, beating RB Leipzig 3-1 to move up to third in the league, level on points with tonight's opponents but ahead on goal difference.

20:32 CET - It's full-time in the English capital and Liverpool have just about secured all three points after a dramatic ending to the game.
Spurs went down to nine men when captain Cristian Romero kicked out at Ibrahim Konate, but they still dominated the game and pushed for an equaliser with the visitors completely incapable of holding onto the ball.
In the end though, the reigning champions got a win that moves them up to fifth and level on points with fourth.

20:14 CET - A lifeline for Tottenham! Richarlison has made it 2-1 with seven minutes plus stoppage time remaining to give the hosts a glimmer of hope.
20:05 CET - Lazio's mediocre season goes on, with the side from Rome failing to break Cremonese down in a drab 0-0 draw.
20:00 CET - 2-0! Hugo Ekitike has produced a lovely header to double Liverpool's lead and get his fifth goal in three games.
19:50 CET - Liverpool take the lead! After coming off the bench at half-time, Alexander Isak has fired his side ahead after The Reds' two big-money summer signings combined, with Florian Wirtz playing the Swede in on goal.
However, the stirker picked up a bad injury in the process and has had to come straight off.
19:24 CET - Spurs responded well to going down to 10 men against the reigning champions, making it into the break without really looking like conceding.
Will Arne Slot's side ramp things up in the second half?

19:19 CET - It's been an entertaining first half in Leipzig, where Bayer Leverkusen have fought back from a goal down to lead the hosts 2-1 thanks to goals from Martin Terrier and Patrick Schick.
19:04 CET - Tottenham go down to 10 men! In a huge blow for the hosts, Xavi Simons has been sent off for scraping his studs down the back of compatriot Virgil van Dijk's leg.
18:45 CET - It's been a cagey start to perhaps the Premier League's biggest match of the day, with Spurs and Liverpool goalless in North London.
We're also still awaiting an opening goal in the Italian capital, with Cremonese holding Lazio at the break.
18:08 CET - A late Dela penalty for Levante has earned them a 1-1 draw and a point against Real Sociedad in LaLiga, ending a run of six losses in a row to give their survival chances a minor boost.

17:53 CET - Manchester City are back on top of the Premier League table... for now.
It was the Erling Haaland show at the Etihad Stadium, as the Norwegian netted twice and assisted the other as his side comfortably dispatched West Ham 3-0 to put the pressure firmly on Arsenal, who play later tonight.

Elsewhere, Wolves' horrific season continues. They were beaten 2-0 by Brentford in a loss that also saw them miss a late penalty.
Bournemouth dropped points at home to Burnley in a 1-1 draw, whilst it finished goalless between Brighton and Sunderland.
Just over half an hour to go until our next instalment of Premier League action as Liverpool travel to the capital to take on Tottenham Hotspur as both managers look to reduce the pressure on themselves following inconsistent runs of form.

17:50 CET - How big could this goal be for Burnley's survival hopes? In the 91st minute against Bournemouth, Armando Broja has stepped up to level for the Clarets, in what will surely earn them a valuable point.
17:41 CET - What a day for Keane Lewis-Potter?! He hadn't scored in the Premier League up to today, and now he has two against Wolves to leave Brentford all but secure of three important points.
17:31 CET - All over in the Bundesliga's mid-afternoon games, which have been a bit feast or famine.
On one extreme, Freiburg have earned themselves an incredible 4-3 victory over Wolfsburg, battling back from 3-2 down late to win the match.
The goals did not flow elsewhere - Hamburg and Eintracht Frankfurt shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, whilst Union Berlin scored in the nick of time to see off Koln 1-0.
In the big game of the afternoon, between Hoffenheim and Stuttgart, there was no real fireworks as the match ended 0-0 as did Augsburg and Werder Bremen.
The next game in Germany should be a cracker, fingers crossed, where RB Leipzig welcome Bayer Leverkusen to town from 18:30 CET.
Follow all the action right here.

17:27 CET - Manchester City are home and hosed! A quick break from the Citizens, sees the ball eventually fall at the feet of Erling Haaland, and he doesn't miss those from six yards. It's two goals and one assist for the big Norwegian today, as his side are now 3-0 up against West Ham.
Elsewhere, Bournemouth have broken the deadlock in the 67th minute through Antoine Semenyo to put his side ahead at home to Burnley.
17:21 CET - Thankfully, we have a goal in the Premier League away from the Etihad Stadium!
It's taken more than an hour, but Keane Lewis-Potter has put Brentford 1-0 up against a Wolves side who just can't catch a break.
17:20 CET - Is that the winner for Union Berlin? In stoppage time against Koln, Andras Schafer has come off the bench to score to send his side to back-to-back wins.
17:15 CET - Just two games in Serie A on this Saturday evening, and the first sees Lazio welcome Cremonese to the Italian capital from 18:00 CET, with just two points separating the pair in mid-table.
It's all set up for a close encounter. Who will prevail?

17:11 CET - If it was a thriller at 3-2, what is it now? Unbowed from going behind, Freiburg are back in front once again, now leading 4-3 over Wolfsburg with 12 minutes to play.
Second-half substitute Derry Scherhant has their fourth of the afternoon, and you'd be a smart person to expect more.
17:02 CET - Freiburg just can't stop him! Dzenan Pejcinovic has a hat-trick for his side, Wolfsburg, to put them back in front in this five-goal Bundesliga thrill ride.
But, this Freiburg side have some real fight in them. Incredibly, they level once more to make it 3-3 in the 71st minute through an own goal from Jenson Seelt.
It is also half-time in the game between Levante and Real Sociedad, where the Basque side lead 1-0 after Takefusa Kubo's stoppage time strike at the end of the half.

16:52 CET - Back to the Bundesliga, where Freiburg have hit back against Wolfsburg, with a penalty from Vincenzo Grifo making it 2-2.
16:48 CET - Half-time across the four mid-afternoon Premier League games, and it's plain sailing for Manchester City, who are two to the good over West Ham, with Erling Haaland and Tijjani Reijnders both netting.

It's 0-0 everywhere else - still plenty more to come today though.

16:44 CET - Back to the Bundesliga, where goals are also hard to come by, but one person who is not struggling is Dzenan Pejcinovic. He has given Wolfsburg a 2-1 lead over Freiburg with his second of the day. He did get some help from the visiting goalkeeper, mind.
16:38 CET - All quiet in the Premier League, except at the Etihad Stadium, where Manchester City have doubled their lead over West Ham.
Erling Haaland turns provider after good work from Rayan Cherki, to set up Tijjani Reijnders for a close-range finish.
It's looking like another successful afternoon for the Citizens...
16:18 CET - Half-time in the five 15:30 CET fixtures in the Bundesliga, where we have, surprisingly, had just four goals so far.
Two of them have come in the game between Hamburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, where it's 1-1 at the break and it's the same scoreline Wolfsburg and Freiburg have too.
It is goalless everywhere else.

16:06 CET - Erling Haaland has opened the scoring for Manchester City against West Ham in the sixth minute. He has his first effort saved, but the ball finds his path again, and he makes no mistake with the second effort. The robot celebration sums him up; he just can't be stopped. Either that, or he's a big fan of Peter Crouch.
15:56 CET - More goals in the Bundesliga, this time in the game between Eintracht Frankfurt and Hamburg. It was Hamburg who took the lead through Albert Sambi Lokonga in the 19th minute, before Hugo Larsson levelled it up seven minutes later.
15:53 CET - All over between Real Oviedo and Celta Vigo as it has ended goalless, a good, battling point for the hosts as they look to survive the drop.
Meanwhile, the next game in LaLiga is just around the corner as Levante welcome Real Sociedad to town.

15:45 CET - Wolfsburg hit back fast against Freiburg! Dzenan Pejcinovic has the leveller for the home side in what is still the only game in the Bundesliga with goals so far.
15:35 CET - Underway across the 15:30 CET kick-offs in the Bundesliga, and after just four minutes, we have our first goal. Freiburg have the lead against hosts Wolfsburg through Philipp Treu's exquisite finish.
15:27 CET - All over between Chelsea and Newcastle, with the Blues battling back from a two-goal deficit to earn a point in a pulsating 2-2 draw.

15:12 CET - At the bottom of the Premier League table, Wolves are still chasing their first win of the season after 14 games, with just two points to their name.
Today could be one of their best opportunities as they take on 15th-placed Brentford at Molineux.
Follow the action from 16:00 CET.

14:58 CET - All square in the north east! Joao Pedro slices through the Newcastle defence, and coolly slots home a tidy finish to make it 2-2. A great fightback from Chelsea!
14:52 CET - As Newcastle and Chelsea continue to slug it out at St James' Park in what is turning into an end-to-end encounter, there are four more Premier League games to come from 16:00 CET.
The stand-out clash of them sees Manchester City - starting to hit their stride - welcome West Ham, who are winless in their last five and occupy one of the relegation spots before kick-off, to the Etihad Stadium.
It will be a tough test for the Hammers, who Opta believe have just a 9% chance of coming away with all three points today.

14:48 CET - We have reached the interval in LaLiga, where Real Oviedo will be the happier of the two sides, holding Celta Vigo to a goalless first half.
Follow the second with Flashscore.

14:40 CET - Filth from Reece James! The Chelsea captain has put his side right back in the contest against Newcastle, scoring a beautiful, curling free-kick into the bottom left-hand corner past a diving Aaron Ramsdale. He has halved the arrears - can his side find another?
14:31 CET - It's the final weekend of Bundesliga action of the year, and we have a cracking game to get us going. From 15:30 CET, fifth-placed Hoffenheim travel to Stuttgart, who are just one place and one point behind them.
Both are targeting potential Champions League football next year, and are well in the hunt before the Christmas break. They both were victorious in their last games, but who will come out on top at 15:30 CET?

We have four other games kicking off in Germany at the same time, with both Eintracht Frankfurt and Freiburg in action.
Follow all the Bundesliga action now.
14:22 CET - Half-time at St James' Park, where the first 45 minutes belonged to Nick Woltemade, scoring twice to see Newcastle 2-0 up against Chelsea.
The Blues have had the ball in the net through Pedro Neto, but a blatant handball put pay to any chance of celebrations.
Follow the second half with us right here.

14:03 CET - Over in Spain, Real Oviedo and Celta Vigo have begun their early afternoon clash in LaLiga - follow it all with us right here.
13:54 CET - It's that man again, Nick Woltemade! A cross from Anthony Gordon finds the tall striker, and he flicks it home. It's an incredibly tight offside call that goes to VAR, but after minutes of deliberation, the goal stands, and Newcastle have a 2-0 lead over Chelsea midway through the first half.
Woltemade is the fourth Newcastle United player to score twice in the opening 20 minutes of a Premier League game at St. James' Park, after Andy Cole vs Liverpool in November 1993, Duncan Ferguson vs Southampton in January 2000, and Jacob Murphy vs Tottenham Hotspur in April 2023.

13:34 CET - What a start from the hosts! Nick Woltemade has put last week's disastrous own goal against rivals Sunderland behind him to open the scoring for Newcastle against Chelsea after just four minutes.
A big goal for the German and his manager, Eddie Howe.
13:30 CET - We are underway in the Premier League for what is one of the biggest games of the day as Newcastle United welcome Chelsea to St James' Park.
Listen to the game live with us right here.
13:07 CET - Over to LaLiga, where managerless Real Oviedo will look to end a six-match scoreless run as they welcome European contenders Celta Vigo to town for the first time in 25 years.
The home side are on their third manager of the season, with Uruguayan Guillermo Almada stepping into the breach as they look for their second win of the campaign, something to move them, bit by bit, towards safety.
Things are looking far more rosy for Vigo. They have won five of their last seven league games, including a 2-0 victory over Athletic Club last time out.
Can they continue their good form this afternoon? Find out from 14:00 CET.

12:28 CET - Our first game of the day is a big one, as Eddie Howe's Newcastle United host fourth-placed Chelsea in the Premier League's early kick-off.
The Magpies have won eight of their last nine matches at St James' Park, while Enzo Maresca's men will be hoping to end a four-game losing run in away head-to-heads.
