Roma have also gone joint-top of their league after seeing out a 1-0 win against Sassuolo.
16:40 CET - Mbappe scores again and this time it counts! The forward runs onto a through ball from Jude Bellingham and keeps his cool to give the hosts the lead!
16:29 CET - VAR intervenes again! Kylian Mbappe thought he opened the scoring with a stunning effort from well outside the box, but it's been ruled out for offside.
16:25 CET - A dramatic start at the Bernabeu! It looked as if Lamine Yamal had given away a penalty after just two minutes for a foul on Vinicius Junior, but VAR have overturned the decision.
16:18 CET - El Clasico is underway! Who will come out on top in arguably the biggest match-up in football? Let's find out!
15:57 CET - Bayer Leverkusen have taken the lead against Freiburg courtesy of a lovely effort from young winger Ernest Poku.

15:52 CET - These are the half-time scores in the Premier League:

It's hardly been a thriller at the Emirates, where the first half produced an xG of just 0.20, the lowest of the first half of any Premier League match so far this season.
15:41 CET - Eberechi Eze has put Arsenal ahead at Selhurst Park, scoring against his former club just before half-time with a great volley.
As always seems to be the case with the Gunners these days, the goal came from a set-piece.
15:30 CET - Paulo Dybala has given Roma the lead against Sassuolo, reaching 50 goal contributions for the club in Serie A in the process.
15:25 CET - Man City have gone behind in Birmingham, with Matty Cash scoring a stunner for Aston Villa, while Nottingham Forest are trailing Bournemouth in their first league match under Sean Dyche.

14:55 CET - Hearts have claimed a massive win against Celtic, prevailing 3-1 to very much put themselves in the driving seat in the Scottish title fight. Is the decades-long dominance of Glasgow's two giants about to end?
14:16 CET - Thanks to three goals in the space of seven minutes, Ajax have beaten FC Twente 3-2 in the Netherlands to move up to third.
Torino also staged a comeback, with a 90th-minute goal from Guillermo Maripan giving them a 2-1 win against Genoa, who remain bottom of Serie A as a result.
14:04 CET - Arsenal and Manchester City will both be looking to take advantage of yet another loss for Liverpool last night, but in Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, they're both facing tricky opponents.
Here are the starting XIs for those matches, starting in just under an hour:

13:35 CET - The lineups are in for the biggest match of the season yet in the Netherlands, with league leaders Feyenoord hosting reigning champions PSV.

13:12 CET - There's been a dramatic start to what is a huge game between the league's top two in Scotland, with Hearts taking the lead in the eighth minute and Celtic equalising in the 12th.
A win for Hearts would put them eight points clear in top spot as they seek to become the first side other than Celtic or Rangers to win the league since 1985.
12:30 CET - Today's action in the big leagues is now underway, with Ajax 1-0 down in the opening stages of their clash with FC Twente and Torino kicking off against Genoa.

Brentford incredibly doubled their lead in the 45th minute after an inch-perfect Mikkel Damsgaard through ball was finished with aplomb by Kevin Schade to put the hosts into dreamland.
However, out of nowhere, Liverpool had one back, controversially scoring well beyond the time added on to the anguish of the home supporters. Still, Brentford lead and the onus is on Arne Slot's men to produce a comeback, or their title challenge could derail even further.
