Anders Antonsen had no trouble booking his ticket for the quarter-final of the Korea Open by beating the unseeded Malaysian Justin Hoh 21--17, 21-11.

For the majority of the match, the difference in level between an established player from the top of the world rankings and an aspiring talent was evident.

Antonsen took control of the duels, had the most finesse at the net, and primarily had to concentrate on not giving the Malaysian the opportunity to use his powerful smash.

Hoh was only able to occasionally challenge Antonsen in the first set, while the second set was a one-sided affair.

In total, it took a modest 41 minutes for the Dane to progress in the tournament.

The opponent in Friday's quarter-finals will not be found until later on Thursday, when sixth-seeded Kodai Naraoka meets unseeded Su-li Yang of Taiwan.

Earlier on Thursday, the mixed doubles pair Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje advanced after launching a terrific comeback against eighth-seeded Jafar Hidayatullah and Felisha Pasaribu.

After losing the first set 22-24, the Danes won a close second set 21-19 and secured victory with a more convincing third set, which they won 21-14.
