Star quarterback Matthew Stafford is set to remain with the Los Angeles Rams for the upcoming season.

The Rams posted official confirmation today to quieten all the rumors about the quarterback's future.

A number of reports claim that the pair reached agreement on a restructured deal that keeps him in Los Angeles, although no official figures were released. Stafford's camp had initially been given permission by the Rams to contact other teams.

Earlier this week, Rams coach Sean McVay said that they would like to keep Stafford as their main quarterback, but his contract would have to be renegotiated.

"There's no discrepancy on us wanting him to continue to lead the way and be our quarterback. The interesting and the challenging dilemma and dynamics within this are, 'Hey, how do you continuously as a head coach look at the short term and the long term and be able to figure out what does that really look like?'" McVay said on the "Fitz & Whit" podcast.

Stafford has a 5-2 record with the Rams in the playoffs, which included a Super Bowl LVI triumph in 2022.
