After the heartbreak of two stoppage-time defeats in a row, Burnley look to get back on track against Nottingham Forest.
Match News and Current Form
Successive defeats against Manchester United and Liverpool stung that little bit more for Scott Parker after his side were level heading into stoppage time on both occasions, only to concede a penalty in both games. Despite the calibre of opponents, it felt like a case of two points dropped for the Clarets, who have lost three of their first four games (W1) on their Premier League return. A return home seemingly offers the perfect chance to bounce back given their Liverpool defeat last weekend was their first home league loss under Parker (W15, D9).
Forest are firmly a side in transition after they were beaten 3-0 by Arsenal in Ange Postecoglou’s first game in charge last weekend. A clash with Burnley represents a much more winnable game for a Forest side who are now winless in their last three league outings (D1, L2), a run they’ll be keen to snap here ahead of their Europa League campaign starting in the wake of this clash with a trip to Real Betis. Visiting a newly-promoted side could be deemed the perfect warm up in that case then, as Forest have won five of their six away league games against promoted sides across the last two seasons (D1).
Head-to-Head History
Forest won on their last visit to Turf Moor on the final day of the 2023/24 season, but that’s their only H2H win across the last nine meetings (D4, L4).

Hot Stats and Streaks
All four of Burnley’s league games this season saw scoring after the hour mark.
Scott Parker has won his last three managerial H2Hs against Forest.
Nottingham Forest are without a clean sheet in their last ten away league games.
Each of Forest’s last 26 away league games saw at least one second-half goal.
Key Players to Watch and Missing Players
Jaidon Anthony closed the scoring in Burnley’s only league win this term and he was also on target in both of his previous top-flight H2Hs against Forest. Chris Wood remains Burnley’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League, but after scoring a brace for Forest on his last visit to Turf Moor, only Nicolas Anelka (18) has more Premier League goals against sides he previously played for in the competition than Wood has (14).
Burnley will be without Lesley Ugochukwu after his red card against Liverpool. Murillo limped off for Forest against Arsenal, while Ola Aina also missed that game through injury.

Betting Analysis
With six of the last seven league H2Hs seeing goals at both ends, backing both teams to score could be the way forward.
